Scope
CGIFOS is a private research and development institute based in Stuttgart, Germany. It developed the concept of Inner Quality (IQ) of organizations and the corresponding approaches Management of Inner Quality (MIQ) and Policy of Inner Quality (PIQ), and has applied and further refined them in empirical settings over time.

Focus
CGIFOS focuses on a dimension of organizational performance that has remained insufficiently captured in established management and economic approaches. This dimension has been developed into a coherent theoretical and operational framework. MIQ provides the basis for analyzing and managing Inner Quality within organizations. PIQ extends this perspective to the level of the economy through governance. Together, these elements form an integrated framework for understanding and improving the performance of complex organizations.

Approach
CGIFOS combines conceptual rigor with practical relevance. The framework has been developed through long-term engagement with complex organizational environments and refined through continuous analysis and application. It is situated in the management of complex systems, both in theoretical and practical contexts, and across business and public governance. CGIFOS acts as an initiator of conceptual development, a partner in implementation, and a bridge between theory and practice.

Background
